Aberdeen City Council Nominated for Council of the Year Award

That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen City Council on being the only Scottish local authority on the shortlist for Council of the Year at the annual Local Government Chronicle (LGC) Awards alongside Adur and Worthing Councils, Brent LBC, Bristol City Council, Calderdale MBC and Hull City Council; understands that Aberdeen City Council has also been shortlisted in the Community Involvement and Campaign of the Year categories at the LGC Awards, which will be judged by a panel, with the winners announced at a ceremony in London on 18 March 2020; acknowledges that the recognition by the LGC Awards judging panel is a valued external endorsement of the work carried out by the council and their employees, and wishes Aberdeen City Council the best of luck at the ceremony next year.
