Bagpiping Stunt Raises Funds for CHAS
The motion
That the Parliament commends Roddy Garden, member of the Helensburgh Clan Colquhoun Pipe Band, for raising more than £7,000 for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) and Robin House, by pedalling across Loch Long while playing his bagpipes; recognises that Roddy pedalled and played simultaneously for an hour and 40 minutes to complete the two-mile challenge; acknowledges the further support that CHAS will be able to provide to families with children approaching the end of life through Roddy’s efforts; understands that Roddy has plans for another fundraising stunt on behalf of CHAS next summer, and wishes him every success with his future fundraising endeavours.
