Dundee and Angus College Wins Herald Pioneer Climate Neutral Award
The motion
That the Parliament applauds Dundee and Angus College on winning the Herald Pioneer Awards Climate Neutral 2019 Award; recognises that, in the last few weeks, the college’s winning team, which it believes to have one of the largest enrolments in Scotland, has also added the College Development Network Award for Sustainability for Project Plastic as well as the National Green Gown Award for sustainability in campus health, food and drink; considers that the college is leading in the climate-neutral research sector and has reduced its carbon footprint by over 50% in the last seven years; welcomes the increased focus on climate-saving initiatives throughout Scotland’s universities, colleges and schools, and encourages the people of Scotland to follow Dundee and Angus College’s example in working for a brighter climate future.
