Leading Lights in Dumfries and Galloway
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates all projects in South Scotland that won awards at the Dumfries and Galloway LEADER Rural Awards ceremony at GG’s Yard on 5 December 2019; notes that the winners were the Wigtown Book Festival, which won the Legacy Award, Whithorn Round House Ironage, which won the Resilience Award, Wigtown Bay Skiff Project, which took the Coastal & Fisheries Community Award, Crafty Distillery, which was awarded the Rural Entrepreneurship Award and Passiv Pod at Loch Ken, winner of the Natural Environment Award; understands that 2019 saw two more awards added to the previous five, The Legacy Award and The Shining Light Award, and wishes all the finalists and winners every success in 2020.
