Shewalton Wood Reserve
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Wildlife Trust (SWT) on its project to "re-wild" a 675-metre water channel at the Shewalton Wood Reserve in Irvine by transforming it into a gently meandering burn rich in wildlife; understands that, by tempering the flow, it will create lots of wetland habitat for endangered species, including eels and water vole; commends the SWT for its hard work and innovative ideas, and wishes it continued success.
