Principal of Dundee and Angus College to Retire
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the excellent work of Grant Ritchie, who has served for five years as the Principal at Dundee and Angus College, and who has announced his retirement from the position in summer 2020; further recognises that he has worked with the College for 30 years prior to his time as Principal; welcomes the successes that it believes his leadership has helped create, including the development of creative industries provision in the College, the building of The Space Dance centre and the £50 million redevelopment of the Gardyne Campus; notes that he led the Good to Great strategy that won the Campbell Christie Prize for Public Sector Reform in 2018, and was awarded the SQA Fellowship in 2017; praises Dundee and Angus College on delivering high-quality educational services to one of the largest enrolments in Scotland, and wishes Grant all the best of success in his future endeavours.
