Standard Life Aberdeen Parental Leave
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Standard Life Aberdeen on its introduction of a new parental leave policy on 1 January 2020, which grants one year of parental leave, including nine months fully paid, to all new parents; recognises what it sees as the importance of offering such opportunities to employees regardless of gender, sexual orientation or length of service; believes that this move will benefit a large majority of Standard Life Aberdeen's 3,000-strong workforce in Scotland; considers that it will be a valuable development in bridging the gender pay gap, and commends all actions taken to improve support for new parents.
