Lodged by Neil Findlay Standard Motion 4 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the input of the teenagers in the Armadale Youth Forum who are working to develop West Lothian Council’s anti-poverty strategy by working with the council’s Community Learning and Development teams on wider plans for the regeneration of Armadale; understands that eight were given training by the anti-poverty service and discussed their own experiences of poverty outside the school setting; recognises the importance of having young people’s voices, experiences and views involved in community projects, and believes that this will help establish ways to improve the lives of teenagers living in poverty in their community.
