West Lothian Pupils Reach the Finals of First Lego League

That the Parliament congratulates pupils from Whitdale Primary School and Bathgate Academy on reaching the finals of the First Lego League, which will take place in Perth in February 2020 and will involve the building and programming of robots; notes that the young people made it to this stage after taking part in heats at West Lothian College, at which they were judged on the design and capability of their robots and were asked to present a solution to a real-world problem, with the theme, Cityscapes; believes that initiatives such as the First Lego League are important in boosting interest in, and knowledge of, STEM subjects, and wishes the West Lothian pupils the best of luck at the finals in Perth.
