Electric Gritter for Forth Bridges
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the introduction of the first fully electric gritter, which joined the fleet of vehicles keeping Scotland connected this winter; understands that the Electra 100% Electric Gritter: SEIV 19 – 350, which was unveiled on 6 November 2019, is thought to be the first vehicle of its kind in the world, and will be trialled on the Forth Bridges Unit; acknowledges the need for innovative new technology, such as these gritters, to make Scotland's fleet more environmentally-friendly, and hopes to see more of these introduced in the coming years.
