Tesco Bank Creating 100 New Jobs in Edinburgh
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that Tesco Bank is to create 120 new technology and change positions, of which 100 will be based at its Edinburgh office at South Gyle Crescent; acknowledges that this forms part of Tesco Bank's commitment to develop customer-centric solutions that better meet the needs of Tesco shoppers; understands that the new highly-skilled roles the company is recruiting for include test, software and systems engineers, systems architects, solution designers, project managers and IT and business analysts; notes that Tesco Bank already employs 1,400 people in Edinburgh alone, and believes that this will be a great addition to Edinburgh's local economy, advancing its technological sector.
