The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Business Stream, which is a water retailer based in the Edinburgh Western constituency, on being awarded the three-year Scottish Government public sector procurement framework for water and waste water billing services; understands that this contract is worth around £200 million and covers many of the country's public sector bodies, including the Scottish Government, the NHS, Scottish Fire and Rescue, Police Scotland, the Scottish Prison Service, local authorities and universities and colleges; believes that, since retail competition was introduced in 2008, Business Stream has saved businesses and public sector organisations more than £242 million by supporting them in conserving over 43 billion litres of water, which has helped toward meeting what it sees as the country's ambitious net-zero carbon targets; applauds Business Stream's key focus on supporting employees' health and wellbeing, and looks forward to seeing further initiatives from it in the coming years.
