John Ferguson and the East Africa Sisal Company Ltd, Tackling Climate Change
The motion
That the Parliament applauds the innovator and social entrepreneur, John Ferguson, who is the founder of the East Africa Sisal Company Ltd, for taking innovative strides to tackle climate change; acknowledges his efforts in developing an ethical supply chain sourcing sisal fibre from small-scale farmers in east Africa who are impacted by climate change; applauds John’s research and development work using sisal to create a sustainable natural fibre insulation product; supports John and the business on this work to create a sustainable and low-carbon economy, and wishes them all the best in their endeavours.
