Good Governance Over Equal Pay Settlement
The motion
That the Parliament understands that the Accounts Commission has concluded that Glasgow City Council has shown good governance planning in its delivery of the project to finance £500 million in equal pay claims on behalf of women who were historically discriminated against in terms of their pay; believes that it has taken an SNP-led council to deliver the equal pay settlement, and recognises the importance of parity of pay for men and women doing jobs of equivalent value across the country and across sectors.
