Cocoa Black and The Hairy Bikers
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the multi award-winning chocolatier, Ruth Hinks, who is the co-owner of Cocoa Black in Peebles, on her new role as a judge on the TV programme, The Hairy Bikers Chocolate Challenge; understands that the weekly programme will begin on 12 February 2020 on Channel 5 and will see Ruth, alongside The Hairy Bikers, judging the creations of seven budding chocolatiers competing for the chance to create their own chocolate bar to be manufactured by Nestlé; notes that Ruth, a UK and world chocolate master, launched the Cocoa Black chocolate school with her husband, David, in 2008, with it subsequently having gone from strength to strength, and believes that Ruth, having taken on such a role, will be in an excellent position to showcase the fantastic talent to be found in the Scottish Borders.
