West Lothian College is Epilepsy Friendly
The motion
That the Parliament commends West Lothian College for being awarded the Epilepsy Friendly Award by Epilepsy Scotland, which recognises the support available from college staff to students and visitors who have epilepsy; congratulates the college’s health and safety officer, Emily Purdie, who worked proactively with staff and students to achieve the award; notes that the college has installed equipment such as privacy screens, bariatric EvacMats and fans to reinforce support for people with epilepsy; understands that epilepsy information is displayed on notice boards across the college, and acknowledges that, following an epilepsy awareness training session delivered by Epilepsy Scotland to staff and students, further training will take place throughout the year.
