Holyrood Distillery Receives Accessibility Award from Euan’s Guide
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates all at the Holyrood Distillery, Edinburgh’s newest distillery, on being one of eight venues across the UK to be awarded an accessibility award by the disabled access charity, Euan’s Guide, for its outstanding welcome for disabled visitors; understands that the awards are based on public nominations and reviews shared on Euan’s Guide; notes that the distillery was praised for its inclusive and accessible design, which is fully accessible for those with mobility requirements, and includes an onsite wheelchair that can be used for the duration of the tour, as well as induction loops throughout the building; acknowledges the important role of the staff in making it a memorable experience with their warm welcome and ability to adapt, and welcomes that there are plans to introduce BSL experiences and make further enhancements to access as the distillery continues to develop.
