Paths for All Awarded Disruption Award to Create Dementia-friendly Outdoor Spaces
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the team at Paths for All, an organisation that develops best practice guidance documents for people involved in the outdoor access sector, on being awarded a Disruption Award by the Dementia Services Development Trust; understands that the awards aim to improve public understanding of dementia in order to make change happen; notes that Paths for All is using the award to develop a dementia-friendly area on its national path demonstration site at Oatridge Agricultural College in West Lothian; understands that the area will be used to illustrate how it is possible to make outdoor spaces more inclusive for people living with dementia, and considers that the new area will act as the stimulus for an educational launch event, an online resource and a lasting legacy of the project.
