Carsphairn Community Woodland Receives Funding
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the award of £209,000 from the Scottish Land Fund to Carsphairn Community Woodland; understands that this will allow the group to take ownership of 120 acres of Muirdrochwood Forest; congratulates all those involved on their years of working to achieve the sufficient funding required; believes that community ownership will be to the benefit of local residents and visitors, and wishes Carsphairn Community Woodland all the best in securing transfer over the next few months and going forward in the future.
