Aberdeen City Nominated for UK Council of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen City Council on being nominated for UK Council of the Year at the 2020 LGC Awards; notes that Aberdeen City was the only Scottish council to be nominated for this prestigious award; understands that the council was also nominated in the Best Campaign and Community Involvement categories; believes that this recognition is in part due to significant investments in projects such as the new P&J Live arena and the Aberdeen Art Gallery, as well as its commitment to social inclusion and economic growth; regards this as a strong acknowledgement of the hard work of thousands of council staff across all business areas, and wishes the council every success at the awards ceremony in London in March 2020.
