That the Parliament congratulates members of Orkney’s ambulance service on their success at the Scottish Ambulance Service Awards for Staff and Volunteers 2019; acknowledges that Lorna Foubister, who is a volunteer ambulance driver based in Shapinsay, won the Volunteer of the Year title in recognition of the outstanding level of care and support that she provides to patients and her inspirational efforts to go above and beyond the call of duty to help people who are in need; further acknowledges that the NHS Orkney Ambulance Team was named runner-up in the Team of the Year category, which recognises a team that has worked closely together to provide the highest possible service and care to members of the public; congratulates Lorna and the Ambulance Team on these prestigious awards, which are a well-deserved recognition of the exceptional work that they do on a daily basis for communities across Orkney; looks forward to seeing them being joined by additional staff members to ensure that Orkney has the capacity that it needs to meet the demands on the service, and wishes Lorna, the Ambulance Team and all of their colleagues the very best for the future.
