Sgoil Bhreascleit, Young Engineers and Science Club of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Sgoil Bhreascleit on winning the 2020 Primary Young Engineers and Science Club of the Year award at the Scottish Council for Development and Industry’s Highlands and Islands STEM Challenge; recognises that hundreds of students representing dozens of schools across Scotland took part in the competition and learned more about careers in STEM; considers that several organisations including Balfour Beatty, Hub North Scotland and NHS Highland provided the students with a topical theme for a project that they would need to develop; praises the students of Sgoil Bhreascleit for working together to develop a creative project in response to this theme; recognises that the students were selected for the award out of all of the primary schools present for their outstanding work and achievements during the challenge, and considers that the young people of Sgoil Bhreascleit and all of the students at the competition represent the STEM experts of tomorrow who will help lead Scotland to a brighter and more innovative future.
