Mears in Alloa Donates to Action on Elder Abuse Scotland
The motion
That the Parliament commends the Alloa-based care service, Mears, which, through its teams of care workers in 20 branches across the country, provides support for older and disabled people by helping them to live independently in their own homes; notes that its Service Manager, Carole Gillies, recently presented Lesley Carcary, the Director of Action on Elder Abuse Scotland, with a £300 cheque to assist the charity with its work preventing the exploitation of older people, and applauds the Mears’ teams in Clackmannanshire and Stirlingshire for this excellent donation.
