Campbeltown to Benefit from Shopfront Improvement Scheme
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that 20 shops in Campbeltown are to benefit from funding from Argyll and Bute Council’s Shopfront Improvement Scheme; understands that, as well as helping existing businesses in the area to improve external parts of their premises, the scheme has also been an important factor in attracting new businesses to the town; recognises that this scheme, in addition to previous funding schemes, has ensured that some £7 million has been invested in improving the appearance of Campbeltown in recent years, and applauds the ongoing commitment of Argyll and Bute Council to investing in its local communities.
