Shopkeeper Helps Vulnerable Amid the COVID-19 Crisis
The motion
That the Parliament commends the efforts of the Broxburn shopkeeper, Waz Abbas, who has been ensuring vulnerable members of the community have the supplies they need during the COVID-19 outbreak; understands that Mr Abbas has been making trips to suppliers twice a day to ensure that the local shop is fully stocked, as well as doing home deliveries to those self-isolating; notes that Mr Abbas also regularly carries out further charitable efforts in Greece and Libya helping refugees with the charity, Edinburgh Cares; commends the incredible community spirit of Mr Abbas, and encourages those who are able to show the same.
