Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland's Call for Kindness Volunteers
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the call from Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland for people to become "kindness’ volunteers" to help those who are vulnerable in the Highlands and Islands and across Scotland during the COVID-19 pandemic; understands that the charity is advertising for volunteers who can provide regular kindness calls to lonely, scared or worried people, or who can help with deliveries and drop-offs of shopping and vital supplies, or who can drive vulnerable people or share important health information online; recognises the importance of volunteering, particularly in the current climate, and the massive positive impact that this has on people’s mental health and wellbeing, and wishes Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland well with this important endeavour.
