Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance Takes Off in the North East
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) on the launch of its north east operations; understands that its aircraft, Helimed 79, will start flying missions from Aberdeen Airport at the beginning of April 2020; notes that it is the SCAA’s second aircraft, joining its already successful Perth-based helicopter; believes that the north east’s most seriously ill and injured people will benefit hugely from this new service as it aims to dramatically increase the reach of Aberdeen’s major trauma centre; recognises that Helimed 79 is charity-funded, with each call out costing in the region of £2,500, and encourages any and all fundraising support for this exceptional service.
