Crowdfunding Support Proves to be Fierce
The motion
That the Parliament celebrates the successful crowdfunding campaign run by Aberdeen-based Fierce Beer; notes that £125,000 was raised in only 24 hours to support this local micro-brewery in its time of need; further notes that the funds raised will allow the brewery’s Dyce headquarters to remain operational until such time as the COVID-19 crisis eases and its bars in Aberdeen and Edinburgh can reopen; understands that supporters are now recognised as members of the Fierce Family and will receive one and a half times what they pledged to spend in their bars or online, as well as a 10% discount for life; commends the management for taking these steps to protect the workforce, and applauds everyone who participated in this drive to shop local.
