Praise for Western Isles Distilleries
The motion
That the Parliament praises the Isle of Harris and North Uist distilleries for producing much-needed hand sanitiser in response to the COVID-19 outbreak; notes the acute shortages of anti-bacterial gel across the UK as demand outstrips supply, with the increased need for personal and professional hygiene; commends the distilleries for pausing normal operations and reallocating resources to the production of this crucial product; understands that thousands of bottles of have been distributed, mostly free of charge, to frontline emergency workers across the Western Isles; praises similar actions across the nation, and hopes that everyone remains safe during this crisis.
