University Monklands Hospital Staff Receive Call from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
The motion
That the Parliament notes that staff at the University Hospital Monklands received a telephone call from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on 1 April 2020 to thank them for their tireless work responding to the COVID-19 outbreak; understands that eight members of staff were present during the call, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and a domestic assistant; acknowledges that this totally unexpected telephone call was a real morale booster for all the staff at the hospital; applauds the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for this initiative, and thanks all NHS staff and frontline workers for all they do to keep everyone safe.
