Forgewood Community Centre Supporting Breastfeeding Mothers

That the Parliament congratulates Forgewood Community Centre in Motherwell on becoming one of the first businesses in Lanarkshire to join the new Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland (BFS) scheme; understands that, with the support of NHS Lanarkshire, the centre will help to promote, support and protect the rights of mothers who want to breastfeed in public places, and notes that the BFS scheme is being rolled out nationally by the Scottish Government, replacing and building on what it considers the success of NHS Lanarkshire’s former initiative to support breastfeeding mothers across the region.
