The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges the decision by Aberdeen International Airport to remain open seven days a week throughout the COVID-19 outbreak despite significant financial hardship; applauds its commitment to continue lifeline flights to Orkney and Shetland; notes that these flights are predominantly used by NHS patients attending Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for medical treatment; further notes that additional flights continue to operate as vital links for oil and gas workers; highlights the airport's commitment to keeping staff and passengers safe with the implementation of rigorous cleaning regimes and the installation of 80 hand sanitiser stations, and wishes the airport a swift return to profitability when the COVID-19 outbreak abates.
