Newbattle High School Receives Recognition from Royal Family
The motion
That the Parliament commends Newbattle High School in Midlothian for producing face shields through 3D printers in the school; understands that these face shields are being given to NHS and care workers who are working to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic; congratulates the school on producing 134 of these shields in the last week alone; understands that the Royal Family were so impressed by their efforts that the school received a congratulatory tweet from the @RoyalFamily official Twitter account; recognises that the school is also providing 300 school meals a day to pupils, and that it has adapted to teaching 90% of its classes online in order to provide effective home learning; congratulates Newbattle High School on all of its efforts in adapting to the challenges that the current pandemic presents, and wishes everyone at the school all the best going forward.
