Erin Campbell Wins Achievement of the Year at SYP Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Erin Campbell, MSYP for Midlothian North and Musselburgh, on winning the Achievement of the Year award at the Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) Awards; recognises that Erin won this award for their fantastic work in setting up a campaign to promote healthy conversations about mental health in order to tackle the stigmas related to this topic; understands that this campaign can be found through the Twitter account, @KeepInMindCam, and that it specifically helps young people who may struggle with their mental health; is aware that Erin has also done positive work in their role as an MSYP in the area of period poverty, and in reducing the use of single-use plastics through SYP’s "Pack it up, Pack it in" campaign, and that Erin has been involved with online "Action Days" in relation to this campaign to encourage other young people to engage with local authorities and politicians and ask them to take actions to protect the environment locally; wishes Erin all the best in the rest of their term as an MSYP, and hopes they continue to make a positive difference in the constituency and across Scotland.
