NHS Virtual Band Spreads Joy
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Eilidh Houston, who is from Irvine, on conducting a virtual brass band of NHS workers that performed the Proclaimers' song, 500 Miles; understands that Eilidh, who is a second year nursing student and played trombone in the video, wanted to bring some happiness amid the negativity and anxiety over COVID-19; notes that the performance, which was shown through Facebook, was a resounding success with around 100,000 views in one day; congratulates Eilidh for her innovative idea, and wishes her and everyone involved with this all the best for the future.
