NHS Lothian Launches Taxi Service for COVID-19 Testing

That the Parliament welcomes the new NHS Lothian taxi service to help transport staff and patients to COVID-19 assessment and testing centres; notes that the service is in partnership with Central Taxis; understands that drivers have been trained and issued with personal protective equipment (PPE); appreciates that passengers will be provided with facemasks; believes that drivers will be in a sealed cockpit and that the cabs will be cleaned down after each journey, and commends those taking part in this scheme, which it considers will help more people get tested for the virus.
