Resilient Musselburgh
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates all involved in Resilient Musselburgh; understands that the team is made up of members of the Musselburgh and Inveresk Community Council, Musselburgh Area Partnership and 71 volunteers; notes that the group is supporting the communities of Musselburgh, Old Craighall, Wallyford and Whitecraig, which have a combined population of around 24,000; believes that volunteers are being deployed on a daily basis, assisting with the delivery of lunches to vulnerable people, emergency food supplies, prescriptions and leafleting targeted areas of the community; notes that the Hub, which is based at Pinkie St Peters Primary School, with the support of volunteers, has delivered over 155 five-day lunch packs to identified vulnerable families within the community, and encourages anyone who would like to volunteer to contact Resilient Musselburgh at eastlothian.gov.uk/musselburghap.
