Community Spirit in Newarthill
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Newarthill Coronavirus Community Support Group, which is operating in partnership with Community Action Newarthill; understands that the support group is working hard to take care of the community during this challenging time with the COVID-19 outbreak; notes that the services being provided include free food, toiletries and necessities, as well as shopping, prescription delivery and a welfare call; acknowledges that Community Action Newarthill, which is core to delivering the work of the community support group, is an independent group of local people with an aim of bringing activities and opportunities to the village of Newarthill and nearby areas, and to encourage community inclusion, participation and pride; believes that the work of Newarthill Coronavirus Community Support Group and Community Action Newarthill is of utmost importance in tackling the impact of COVID-19, and wishes all volunteers well as they continue their fantastic efforts.
