Burpees Challenge Raising Funds for NHS
The motion
That the Parliament thanks David and Carly Waine from Farmilehead in Edinburgh, who challenged themselves to complete 2,620 burpees over the course of nine hours on 25 April 2020; understands that, to date, the couple have raised over £3,000 for NHS Charities Together; further understands that David completes a charity workout event every year and on this occasion felt it was appropriate that the money raised from donations went to the NHS, and thanks the many inventive fundraisers, like the Waines, for raising vital funds during the COVID-19 outbreak.
