Partick Community Growing Project Supporting Communities During Coronavirus Lockdown
The motion
That the Parliament commends the Partick Community Growing Project for its community support initiatives during the COVID-19 lockdown; understands that the local group is providing food for 30 households with weekly shopping for 12 weeks to the value of £20 per home each week; further understands that the group is providing 10 families with creative arts and craft packs to support homeschooling and has provided 100 bunches of daffodils to give to older people in isolation; notes that the community group has been supported by a National Lottery Community Fund Award of £10,000; understands that the group seeks further funding to expand the level of its provision, and to introduce boxes for growing at home and in gardens; recognises the efforts of community groups in providing vital support during this challenging time, and wishes all involved with the Partick Community Growing Project continued success.
