West Lothian Foodbank Continues Service Throughout COVID-19 Outbreak
The motion
That the Parliament commends the work of West Lothian Foodbank during the COVID-19 pandemic; understands that the foodbank had 250 volunteers but that 200 have had to stay at home because of health or age reasons, and that all distribution centres had to close on 20 March 2020; notes that, despite this, temporary centres have been set up and that most parcels have been delivered on the same day as the referral or the day after, and believes that this is an excellent effort by the foodbank to make sure that people in West Lothian are not going hungry during the pandemic.
