1,000 Frontline Staff and Students Help the Forth Valley COVID-19 Response
The motion
That the Parliament expresses its gratitude to everyone in the Forth Valley area who has who taken on a frontline role in helping to tackle the spread of COVID-19; notes that this includes around 300 people who have joined NHS Forth Valley’s staff bank, with the majority being nurses and healthcare support workers, as well as doctors, pharmacy staff, administrative staff, drivers and laboratory staff; welcomes the 400 who responded to the national appeal for staff to return to work in the NHS Forth Valley area; commends the hundreds of University of Stirling medical and nursing students who will be joining NHS Forth Valley in the coming weeks, praises the redeployment of existing staff across the NHS to frontline roles, including dental nurses who are now assisting with drive-through COVID-19 testing centres; understands that this is the biggest challenge that the NHS has faced in everyone's lifetime, and thanks all those who are working hard to keep the country safe.
