International Workers' Day
The motion
That the Parliament thanks the Scottish Trade Union Congress, trades councils and trade unions across Scotland and the world for ensuring that International Workers’ Day was able to be celebrated by using technology and innovative approaches to bring workers, musicians and activists together; commends all involved in putting on events across Scotland and notes the call from the STUC for a £10 per hour Living Wage and a £2 hourly uplift for all workers who are directly or indirectly paid through public funds, and calls on the UK and Scottish governments to implement this as a matter of urgency.
