NHS Lanarkshire Doctor Joins International Coronavirus Study Team
The motion
That the Parliament commends the work of the NHS Lanarkshire public health consultant, Dr Jennifer Darnborough, who is among those working to research the effect of physical activity on COVID-19 immunity; notes that the group is comprised of leading physical activity researchers, respiratory experts and sport and exercise psychologists who are analysing more than 14,000 research papers covering the past four decades to find key data; acknowledges that the research is led by Glasgow Caledonian University and involves eminent immunologists and epidemiologists from around the world, including experts from University College London and Ghent University in Belgium, and thanks Dr Darnborough, and all health professionals, for the work they are doing to aid in Scotland’s fight against COVID-19.
