Aberdeen Laundry Services' COVID-19 Response
The motion
That the Parliament commends the work of Aberdeen Laundry Services (ALS) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic; understands that both the company and its subsidiary business, Cathkin Clean Scotland, have secured funding from the Royal Bank of Scotland to support operations during the outbreak; notes that the business has been supporting NHS services and has also been involved in opening additional supply lines of personal protective equipment (PPE) and linen for frontline staff; recognises that this funding has helped ALS meet increased demands from the NHS, retrain staff and begin plans to re-open post-pandemic; commends the hard work of ALS’s management and staff during these exceptionally challenging times, and passes on its best wishes to them for a safe and successful future.
