Laura Cluxton, Pedalling 500 Miles for the Forth Valley Sensory Centre
The motion
That the Parliament commends Laura Cluxton from Clackmannanshire who is pedalling 500 miles using a stationary bike at her home to raise money for the Forth Valley Sensory Centre; notes that Laura, who lost her sight in her 20s, started her challenge on 27 April 2020 and has been posting regular updates of her progress on YouTube; acknowledges that she is an accomplished track cyclist and competed in the tandem pairs at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games; notes that she is raising money for the Sensory Centre as it has been closed since March because of the COVID-19 outbreak, costing it around £25,000; commends Laura for this highly magnanimous effort, and wishes her and the Sensory Centre all the very best.
