Street Friends Aberdeen
The motion
That the Parliament commends the volunteer-run charity, Street Friends Aberdeen, which is providing hot meals and supplies for homeless people in need; understands that the charity is providing take-away meals outside the Aberdeen Church of Christ, George Street, with an average of 800 meal cartons being packed a week; notes that volunteers are out four nights a week providing three-course meals for homeless and vulnerable people to collect; recognises that the charity has no source of funding and relies solely on the generosity of the public and the area's businesses; commends all involved at Street Friends for this vital role it is playing during difficult times, and encourages the public to find out how they too can help support this charity and others helping the vulnerable.
