Argyll and Bute Finalists in Scottish Education Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates three teaching staff from Argyll and Bute who have been as named finalists in the 2020 Scottish Education Awards; notes that David Mitchell, of Dunoon Grammar, is one of three finalists in the Head Teacher of the Year category, and that Paul Gallanagh, who also teaches at Dunoon Grammar, and Susan Carter of Kilmartin Primary School, are two of the final three nominees for the Teacher of the Year title; celebrates the hard work and dedication that has led to David, Paul and Susan being nominated for these awards; recognises the immense contribution made by the country's outstanding teachers towards the attainment of young people at school and their prospects after school, and wishes them and their fellow guests a very enjoyable evening at the awards ceremony when their achievements, and those of the other finalists, will be celebrated.
