The motion

That the Parliament acknowledges the vital role of the third sector and community in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic; acknowledges the hard work that has been shown by Coorie Creative in recent weeks; notes that this group is dedicated to supporting people who have experienced trauma in their lives; acknowledges that social distancing has led many organisations to host activities online and that Coorie Creative has joined this approach with online meet-ups; warmly welcomes the recent award that it has received from the National Lottery Community Fund, which is continuing to deliver funding and support for a broad range of organisations across Stirling and Scotland; believes that this will help it meet its ongoing costs of operating during the COVID-19 crisis, and thanks its staff for the important work that they do, particularly with the current societal focus on mental health and wellbeing.
