Funding for Hand of Solace

That the Parliament welcomes the news that the Aberdeen-based charity, Hand of Solace, has been awarded £6,000 by the National Lottery Community Fund to increase the scope of its befriending service to help meet increased demand because of the COVID-19 crisis; commends its latest initiative to help older people throughout Aberdeen, especially those from BAME backgrounds; applauds its efforts throughout this difficult time, and celebrates its mission of "Giving a Hand of Support and Empowerment" to all.
